  • Phillip Sanderson

    Phillip Sanderson

    Phillip is from Franklin, Tennessee, and currently serves as the Senior Director of EMS Partner Solutions at Ambulance Medical Billing-AMB. Additionally, he is a John Maxwell Certified Leadership Coach, Trainer, and Speaker. With a remarkable 34-year Emergency Medical Services (EMS) background, Phillip has worn various hats, including Paramedic, Educator, Director, and Executive. He holds a Master of Science degree in Healthcare Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Management, both earned from Bellevue University. As an Educator, Phil has instructed a diverse group of healthcare providers, ranging from EMTs, Paramedics to Nurses and Physicians. As an Operational Leader, Phillip boasts a stellar track record of leading large teams and organizations. His achievements include driving operational and process improvements, implementing best practices, and spearheading growth initiatives. His primary focus has consistently revolved around leadership and operational performance, with a keen eye for organizational growth and a commitment to achieving performance excellence.

  • Eric Clauss

    Eric Clauss is a Registered Nurse, an EMT-Paramedic, and has his Master of Science degree in nursing leadership. He is the host of the Tennessee EMS Education Association Podcast (TEMSEA), and has been in the emergency profession since 1986, serving in roles such as firefighter, paramedic, deputy coroner, charge nurse, instructor, and preceptor. He has been at Vanderbilt University Medical Center since 2005 and currently serves as the Director of the EMS Center of Excellence. Eric is a published author and speaks regionally and nationally to healthcare organizations and prehospital providers on leadership, personal development, and stress management.

  • Christopher Kelly

    Christopher Kelly

    Christopher Kelly is General Counsel for Amerimed Medical Solutions and its family of companies. Chris is an attorney with 25 years of experience focused on the mobile healthcare industry, including EMS and ambulance service, mobile integrated healthcare and community paramedicine, non-emergent medical transportation, and origination-site telehealth. He writes regularly for EMS World and sits on the magazine's editorial advisory board. He has co-authored two guides on HIPAA for EMS and ambulance services. He has been an adjunct instructor for Virginia College, teaching Legal Aspects of Healthcare Administration and Health Law and Ethics. Chris has represented many ambulance services in Medicare audits and formal investigations, State licensing issues, contracting issues, overpayment appeals and other EMS related matters, winning several cases that have had major impact on ambulance reimbursement in the U.S. He is also a contributor to various other mobile healthcare publications, authoring dozens of articles over the span of his career, and is a frequent lecturer at State and National EMS meetings and conferences.

  • Bobbie Jo Henderson

    Bobbie Jo Henderson, Carissa Keatherly, and Rebecca Pace

    Bobbi Jo Henderson (Deputy Director of Education), Carrissa Keathley (Inservice Coordinator), and Rebecca Pace (Training Officer), are the top tier of the Education Department at Anderson County EMS. Between the three, we have a cumulative total of 45 years of EMS Education experience. Collectively, we have instructed a multitude of EMS disciplines certified from AHA, NAEMT, DT4EMS, TARS, and SUDI. We are currently an AHA training site, an NAEMT training center, and also offer in-house CEU’s through the state of Tennessee. We have successfully established a continuing education training center that encompasses initial education of EMR, EMT, AEMT and look forward to adding Community Paramedicine. We have hosted numerous NREMT refreshers for all levels of EMS education. We have people attend our courses from all over the country, and even a few from abroad, including the Virgin Islands and Afghanistan. Our most recent partnership with the Y-12 Fire Department has enabled us to put on the annual Secret City EMS Expo open to responders from all over the region to offer them free EMS continuing education. After our most recent critical care refresher, our esteemed colleague, Jason Fox put it best: “Constantly striving to be the best! Not for the sake of winning a competition or to boast, but to deliver the best care possible.”

    Lee Blair

    Lee Blair is a seasoned healthcare professional with over three decades of rich experience in emergency medical services, nursing, and healthcare improvement. Currently serving as a Quality & Safety Advisor for LifeFlight at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Lee holds a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Leadership and Management from Walden University. His extensive career began as a paramedic, evolving into roles as a flight nurse, emergency department nurse, and eventually into leadership positions.

  • Michael Wallace

    Michael Wallace

    Michael Wallace currently serves as the EMS Chief for Williamson Health EMS in Franklin, TN, leading a team of over 200 personnel and supporting more than 500 fire department-based emergency medical responders and 911 Communicators. Williamson Health EMS is the primary 911 EMS provider for all of Williamson County and each municipality across the community.

    Mr. Wallace graduated summa cum laude from George Washington University School of Medicine with a degree in Emergency Health Services and EMS management and holds an MBA in healthcare administration from Western Governors University. Michael is licensed in Tennessee as a Critical Care Paramedic, is nationally registered, and Critical Care Paramedic Certified by the International Board of Specialty Certification.

    Tiffany Johnson

    Tiffany Johnson is a former litigation attorney, legal writer, and teacher whose extensive work in presentation design and storytelling eventually led to a career in marketing. She trains instructors of all stripes to refine their presentation techniques and technical skills to optimize audience retention, understanding, and engagement.

  • Sophie Fuller

    Sophie Fuller

    Sophie Fuller is a paramedic out of Murfreesboro, Tennessee–- you may also be familiar with her as Paramedic Sophie from the social media platform, TikTok. Sophie has worked in the prehospital setting for 5 years and continues to work for mixed urban and rural EMS as a paramedic and field training officer. When she is not working her full time job, she is instructing at the very college she graduated from with her A.A.S and Paramedic. Sophie is passionate about promoting accessible education, empowering young people in EMS, and advocating for positive culture and first responder mental health.

  • Matt Zavadsky

    Matt Zavadsky

    Mat is the Chief Transformation Officer for MedStar Mobile Healthcare in Fort Worth, TX. He has helped guide the implementation and financial sustainability of numerous innovative programs with healthcare partners that have transformed MedStar fully as a Mobile Integrated Healthcare provider. Most recently, he has led the negotiations with multiple third-party payers to change the basic economic model for EMS to better align patent, provider and payer focus on patent centered care as opposed to simply payment for ambulance transport.

  • Michael Gooch

    Michael Gooch

    Dr. Michael D. Gooch is an emergency-flight nurse practitioner and critical care paramedic with over 25 years of emergency and transport medicine experience. He has completed over 1,600 patient transports during his tenure with Vanderbilt LifeFlight. He is an Assistant Professor of Nursing with Vanderbilt University School of Nursing, as well as faculty with the Middle Tennessee School of Anesthesia. Michael is a nationally recognized speaker and published author regarding varied emergency and transport medicine topics. He serves on the editorial board as a column editor for the Advanced Emergency Nursing Journal.

  • Kevin Spratlin

    Kevin Spratlin

    Kevin Spratlin is the Division Chief of EMS Administration for Memphis Fire Department. In this role, he is responsible for the Quality Assurance Team and the EMS Training Academy. He is also over the Healthcare Navigator Program, an innovative Mobile Integrated Healthcare/Community Paramedicine model which seeks to navigate non-emergent 911 callers to the most appropriate resource for their needs while reducing the impact of these calls on the department’s emergency response capabilities. Chief Spratlin has served in the emergency services field for 30 years. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Fire Administration from the University of Memphis and a master’s degree in Operations Management from the University of Arkansas. He and Kelly, his wife of 25 years, make their home in Memphis and have two children.

  • Sheila Barnes

    Sheila Barnes

    Ms. Shelia Barnes began her EMS career in Huntsville, AL. She has been actively engaged in EMS for over 40 years in ground and air transport, EMS education and emergency communications. Ms. Barnes simultaneously served as an EMS educator at the postsecondary level while maintaining a clinical role in both EMS and nursing. She completed her BSN and MSN at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and is ANCC board certified as a nurse practitioner in both Adult-Gerontology Acute Care and Family Practice through ANCC. She maintains National Registry status as a paramedic and is licensed in Alabama and Tennessee. Ms. Barnes is currently the nurse practitioner and manager of the Mobile Integrated Health team at Maury Regional EMS in Columbia, TN. She also holds board certification as a community paramedic through the International Board of Specialty Certification.

  • Brad Coutts

    Brad Coutts

    Brad began his career in EMS in 2010 in Huntsville, Alabama as an EMT before relocating to Maury County in 2013 for Paramedic school. Brad is a 2015 graduate of Columbia State’s EMS Academy. Prior to joining Maury Regional, Brad worked for nearby Williamson Health EMS where he served as AEMT, Paramedic, Critical Care Paramedic, Field Training Officer and relief supervisor.

    Brad joined Maury Regional EMS in 2022 specifically for their Community Paramedicine program, one of only a few in the state. In late 2023, he accepted a full time position as Clinical Coordinator for the Mobile Integrated Community Health Program, a reenvisioned model of the original Community Paramedicine concept that Maury had began in 2020. Brad remains an active clinician, regularly seeing patients and still working shifts as a field Paramedic Maury’s 911 ambulances.

  • Dr. Rudy Kink

    Dr. Rudy Kink

    Dr. Rudy Kink is a highly acclaimed specialist in Neonatal and Pediatric Transport, renowned on a national level. With extensive expertise in this field, he serves as a prominent speaker at the American Academy of Pediatrics in Transport Medicine, and he holds a position on the Executive Committee of Pediatric Transport Medicine. Additionally, Doctor Kink actively contributes as a member of the Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals steering committee. He has made significant contributions to pediatric medicine through the publication of numerous articles. Doctor Kink obtained his medical degree from the University of Illinois and further pursued his pediatric residency and fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN.

  • Mary Lee Lemley

    Mary Lee Lemley

    Mary Lee Lemley is the Neonatal Outreach Sr. Program Manager, and the Neonatal Simulation Director at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tennessee. She also serves in a state appointed position on the Tennessee Perinatal Advisory Committee along with the Clinical Issues Committee for EMS. Being a 3rd generation nurse, Mary Lee has her MSN in Nursing Education and Management. Committed to nursing development and simulation education Mary Lee developed the first Perinatal mobile Simulation Lab at MCJCH where the Neonatal Outreach team provides education to approximately 5,000 staff per year. She serves on a number of State, National and International Simulation committees.

    Calli Baker

    Calli Baker is a seasoned paramedic with eight years of hands-on experience in emergency medical services, coupled with four years of dedicated teaching experience in various classes. Her commitment to excellence in education is exemplified by her proficiency in teaching Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS).

    Caleb Curtis

    Proud father and lucky husband, I am dual certified as a nurse and paramedic with over 22 years of experience in various areas including firefighting, EMS education, Emergency and ICU nursing, and critical care transport for air and ground. I have a master’s in nursing education/clinical informatics that I currently use to serve as a one of the GMR Clinical Managers. Serving the South region for both air and ground, responsible for quality improvement and clinical metrics. I have had the opportunity to speak at several EMS and critical care conferences throughout the Southeast including some at the national level.

    Scott Deboer

    Scott DeBoer is a dynamic seminar leader with over 30 years of emergency, critical care, & flight nursing experience. After 25 years of playing flight nurse at the University of Chicago, While Scott is currently the primary seminar leader for Pedi-Ed-Trics, a company dedicated to teaching better ways to care for kids, his most unique current role is being a theme park paramedic at Universal Studios Orlando.

  • Jennifer Porter

    Jennifer Porter

    Jennifer is a Nashville native and completed nursing school at Tennessee State University. She started in the Pediatric Emergency Department at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in 2008. She has served in many roles within emergency services before joining the CRPC Program in 2015. Jennifer and her team specialize in educating prehospital and general hospitals on pediatric emergency care.
