Shannon Lankford

Region 5

Shannon Lankford came on as the Region 5 TEMSEA representative in July 2011. Shannon started her EMS career as an EMT-IV at Williamson Medical Center (WMC) EMS in Franklin, Tennessee. Shannon went through paramedic school and was promoted to Field Training Officer (FTO) during her tenure there. In August 2009, she was hired as the EMT Clinical Coordinator for the EMS Education Program at Volunteer State Community College in Gallatin, Tennessee. While at Vol State, she was blessed to have the opportunity to teach in both the EMT and Paramedic classrooms. In August 2011, WMC EMS developed the position of EMS Training Officer, which brought Shannon back to her roots. She is currently in this position, which develops and implements the training for the EMS crews, the three paid Fire Departments in the county, as well as the First Responder agencies in the county. She currently holds instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, PHTLS, AMLS, EVOC, EMS Safety, and EPC.
